nice.
thankyou :’D
cool.
so what do u think of the demolition of pudu jail?
-Kautsar Ramli
It is an unwise decision to demolish pudu jail. despite it is located inside the golden triangle district, there is always a way to revamp the building because the building become the best projection images of kuala Lumpur and the audiences are particularly the next generation.
It could be reused as an university, which I think will best suit the area. This has been done in Melbourne, as the old prison is turned into RMIT and the profits are gained from the international students and the function fit the Melbourne city’s hustle in congruous way.
i second that fira, totally agree with you.. they should preserve pudu jail.. ..
Oh yes,the idea to turn it into a university is an awesome yet appreciative one.
They really cant just abolish the heritage built over 100 years ago just to chase some modernization spread by the westerners, which we all know have their own hidden agenda.
Though they have some ‘economical-based’ reasons, there’s no value can be accounted compared to the heritage and sentimentality.
And by rights, the government should be aware of this in the first place. Not us, the students who can just voice about it in blogs and tabloids.
I’ve no idea how many of the buildings are going to be the next to disappear.
And how to tell our kids about the legend and history of this place.
It’s saddening…
try check out hentian putra, eventhough, its kinda not well-maintained, but it has post modernism arch, with complete steel construction of d structure, hehe~
thanks! its not in my frequent visit area but I will have a look! thanks
